Carlena Britch

Carlena Britch is a choreographer, movement director & professional dancer hailing from Vancouver, BC Canada. Kicking off her career as a Top 7th finalist on Season 4 of SYTYCD, Carlena then went on to dance for artists like Prince, Usher, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Jason Derulo, J-Lo & Alicia Keys, & toured worldwide with Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo & more. You can catch Carlena in every season of the Emmy nominated series Lip Sync Battle, as well as in movies like Babylon, The Prom, & Justin Bieber's Believe. As a choreographer, she has created commercials for brands such as Wendy's, JC Penny, and Covergirl, to name a few. As a movement director, Carlena has had the pleasure of working with artists such as LeAnn Rimes, Scarlet Opera, Ain't Afraid, Butterfly Ali, Tori Kelly & many others.

When she is not working in film & television, Carlena absolutely adores working with Level Up's new generation of talent, sharing her 17+ years of experience in the industry to shape the next wave of professional dancers. She specializes in hip-hop & the funk styles, with a heavy focus on breakdancing, locking & popping. Carlena focuses a lot of her class time on the history of dance, not only teaching the fundamentals of movement, but also the origination of music, sound & cultural references of specific era's.
